Mach-2 is a highly viscous die-silicone material which replaces traditional stone allowing you to create chair-side Composite Inlay die models quickly and accurately. Mach-2 sets hard with slight flexibility, allowing the removal of composite inlays from models, even with minor undercuts. This polyvinyl siloxane derivative flows better than stone and is resistant to chipping and cracking. Following the taking of an alginate impression, Mach-2 is injected into the impression. The base of the die is then formed by expressing Parkell Blu-Mousse Super Fast from an auto-mix cartridge syringe on top. Within 2 minutes the impression and base former are removed from the impression tray. The model is then cut with a razor blade and ready for use .Indirect Composite Inlays are an ideal method to restore load-bearing surfaces and has a number of advantages over working directly in the mouth. Improved wear-resistance is achieved as indirect inlays are light-cured from all sides resulting in a higher degree of monomer conversion. While some shrinkage still occurs outside the mouth the resin luting cement compensates, resulting in a tight marginal fit.
Parkell Mach-2 or Mach-Slo are available in 2x50ml AutoMixII Cartridges. Please see www.arkhealth.com.au for more information or call 1800 422 227
